It's #SFOutdoors and it's gorgeous today, so it's a perfect time for an urban hike down one of the crookedest streets in the world, Lombard Street. Although Lombard Street stretches through most of the city, the most famed part is a one-way section between Hyde and Leavenworth, which has 8 switchbacks. Lombard Street wasn't always this crooked though. The switchbacks were instituted in 1922 to reduce the hill's 27% grade.
