For it being a mid-morning match, the setting and turnout would’ve made you think it was a Friday night in Cancun. Things did turn bleak in the second half, though, with a dubious penalty call. “Y ahora quien podrá salvarnos?” Ochoa put on his cape and cemented his status as a World Cup hero. The confident PK stop sent La Fortaleza delirious, and the massive save was celebrated with every bit of euphoria as a goal.
