“We often think we have to become something to do great work, but in reality, our existence is a key to fighting for a better, healthier and more just world,” says 25-year-old environmental educator Isaias Hernandez (queerbrownvegan). “You can become whatever you want to be in the environmental movement and that’s the beauty of people. Sometimes climate change isn’t the priority for people, especially if they are trying to survive their jobs, take care of their loved ones or they’re going through other interpersonal issues.
