For artist Dylan Mooney (dylanmooney__), #SydneyMardiGras represents unapologetic pride. 🌈✨⁣ ⁣ “It’s a place where people can express themselves, and it’s also a celebration of the community’s journey, how far we have come and to show the extraordinary talent within the LGBTQI+ community.”⁣ ⁣ The 25-year-old South Sea Islander creates art to showcase his journey as a queer man and drive awareness for Indigenous communities across Australia. “It’s about keeping the stories alive and passing on my knowledge through my artwork,” says Dylan.⁣ ⁣ “The Indigenous and LGBTQI+ communities are resilient peoples that are thriving and growing.
