Cool Story... So this is Pipes from the OG team and this smash was one of a whole lot of bombs for the kid ( the team was full of kids with dynamic sticks so super fun to coach and watch) but this day was super special. It was her last game in travel before heading off to college. The last time I and the coaching staff would get a chance to coach all of the girls. I personally was a hot mess on the way to the field on this day, but I kept it together. I knew some of the kids would be feeling it for sure this day so they didn’t need the coaches to be emotional too. So as I watched their warmups like I normally do, I was looking to see how the team was reacting to the pressure of playing in an elimination game for their last game of their travel careers. This warm up just felt different for the team as a whole, but Pipes looked really calm. I mean she’s already a chill kid, but this was different. I didn’t know what to make of it.
