Thesis exhibition: Beyond the veil of sleep As an artist, my work is heavily influenced by my experiences with dreams. I find that my dreams offer a unique insight into the inner workings of the mind, revealing fears, desires, and conflicts that may be difficult to access through waking consciousness alone. Through my art, I aim to capture the essence of these dreams exploring their surreal and often abstract qualities, and translating them into visual forms that can be shared with others. I am particularly drawn to the ways in which dreams can evoke a sense of mystery and wonder, transporting the viewer to a realm that is both familiar and unknown. By incorporating dream imagery into my work, I hope to create a sense of connection and intimacy between the viewer and the artwork, inviting them to explore their own subconscious and engage with the deeper aspects of their being.
