FREEDOM. Freedom is why we chose to travel to Australia. We needed a change, our lease was up, and moving across the city, or even across the country just didn’t seem like the adventure we were looking for. Michael and I knew that we wanted to put everything we had into building our photography business BUT without a huge amount of savings, we needed something to fall back on. As Canadians, getting a working holiday visa was super easy (actually even easier than we thought it would be) so that’s what we applied for! Less than 30 seconds later, we were approved and everything suddenly felt real. We were actually doing it. Our apartment was pretty much empty, so we booked our flights to Australia. Since getting here we’ve been working hard on creating, and connecting in order to grow, and we are insanely grateful to say that we haven’t had to pick up any local jobs yet!
