In all that he does, he prospers.” -Psalm 1:3 When you seek fully after God, following him and obeying his commands, you will see fruit. The Holy Spirit helps us to do good works that God prepared beforehand and we yield fruit of the spirit. A tree by a stream has its needs provided and serves the rest of the stream/environment. It filters out pollutants, reduces erosion, provides shelter, support, and means of food for a plethora of species. When the psalmist refers to the blessed as streamside trees, he says that these people are following the Lord, going out and seeking to improve what’s around them.
