Hide from the world; hide from God. To put on our shame and guilt and mope. We have those days when we want the darkness to envelop us because we don’t know what to do. We experience great shame and sadness, feeling as though there isn’t anything that we or our friends/family can do. To feel like the darkness is winning, that our sin and shame have beaten us down so far that we cannot recover. Listen! Our God is an awesome God. He reigns in Heaven above with wisdom, power, and love. The darkness is not dark to him, and the night is as bright as day. When the Lord is with us, we too are not in darkness.
