"In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." -John 1:4-5 Christ came to serve. It was not out of condemnation of the sinful, but for the grace and love that he had for the unrighteous. In Christ we have life, life everlasting. Life that shines like a bright star. Amidst the darkness, we shine with the glory of God, for he has rescued us; Christ walks alongside us in that darkness. Palm Sunday was a day of rejoicing for the long awaited king from the line of David, for the Messiah had come! This week we remember how Christ was welcomed into Jerusalem with palms and cheering, and just days later was sentenced to crucifixion.
