Inversion 🤸🏼♀️
Long live the "king" of yoga poses. The handstand.
So powerful, freeing, and terrifying. The hype and aesthetic that comes from this pose is always entertaining, but all other inversions still give the same (if not greater) benefits (especially to long term health).
Inverting increases blood circulation and lymphatic flow, as well as regulates and calms the nervous system.
HANDSTANDS MAY NOT BE A PART OF YOUR PRACTICE. Honestly they rarely are a part of mine, as my wrists and hands are my post prized tools 🤲
A great inversion that I recommend to a lot of my clients is simply bringing your legs up a wall. Having your hips as close to the wall as comfortable, let your heels rest above your knees, legs extended, and allow the body to circulate against gravity.
Exquisite.
