Lord of the Fishes Pose variation 🐟🐠🐡 This pose is quite delicious and necessary. Let's talk about it. . . You can visualize how we spend most of our day..well..not in fish pose - hunched over, chin to chest, eyes down. Imagine the benefits to the body when we do a pose (even just for 3-8 breaths) that can be considered an "extreme" of the opposite. Lifted chest, expanded abdominals, and an open throat. You can sit at a desk and work all day, but you must take care of yourself too! All that being said, THIS MAY NOT BE THE VARIATION FOR YOU. A great way to modify is with a bolster under the upper back/ shoulder blade area, and let the body open passively. Fish pose can rid the body of chest, neck, upper back, and shoulder pain if done safely and with breath. But, hey, let's go a little deeper. Fish pose can also assist in opening the throat chakra.
