Last week was Lion's Code Cyber Camp!🦁💻 Students in grades 8-12 began the week with a tour of the Computer Science and Technology building. Each day, students were greeted by Computer Science Department Head, Dr. Bonnie Achée. The camp was held in the iHub here at Southeastern where the students learned about the ins and outs of password encryptions, the importance of cybersecurity, and acted as detective agents tasked with solving a cybersecurity crime. They were also joined by Sandy Summers who spoke with them about the importance of resumés and cyber careers. Ava McClain, special guest from TekChix, also spoke with the students about some of the different career opportunities in the field of Computer Science. Lastly, the students were given the opportunity to take a tour of the athletics department here at Southeastern.
