Photo by timlaman | The sun sets as our ship, the National Geographic Explorer, passed through the Lemaire Channel, one of the most scenic spots on the Antarctic Peninsula. At that location, the sun didn’t set until after midnight, and rose again shortly after 2 a.m. It was a very memorable night for all of us on this natgeoexpeditions voyage a couple of years ago.
