Yet despite their popularity, the species has continued to decline. Many of us find it difficult to know how to save a species threatened by an issue as large as climate change. My suggestion: become a polar bear protector by reducing the amount of electricity you use, which puts carbon into the air. Start by bundling up in extra layers instead of running your heater, or pledge to walk or use public transport instead of a personal vehicle whenever possible.
