Lions may not be the most skilled tree-climbers, but they can certainly summon the strength and agility when required. It’s most often cubs that will take to the branches in playful exploration, but adults also have their reasons. When temperatures rise or pesky insects become too much of a nuisance, for example, a cool treetop perch can be a welcome change of scenery. And when they get it right, these bulkier cats can certainly look relaxed and comfortable above terra firma.
