The cheetahs are famous in Kenya's Maasai Mara National Reserve, living with the constant presence of tourists—I've seen over 70 vehicles surrounding the cheetahs. Sometimes pressure from tourists on their guides and bad driving can lead to aggressive interactions and shouting. The cheetahs, however, seem to take little notice— it's normal to them. They're surrounded even when they hunt, with cars pursuing them across the plains at high speed, like a scene from a Mad Max film. Rules are in place to prevent the animals from being hassled, but they're generally ignored. #campaignfornature
