Photo by amivitale / Today is World Rhino Day. Black rhinos Balozi, left, and Morris greet each other at OlPejeta Conservancy in Kenya. An estimated 5,630 black rhinos remain in the wild. Over 500,000 rhinos once roamed Asia, Africa, and Europe; today the total number of all five rhino species worldwide is only 27,300. They need our support. OlPejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in northern Kenya, and also home to 30 southern white rhinos and the last two northern white rhinos on the planet.
