The story for National Geographic was one of hope and resilience: The refugees fled Syria and live in shelters—but there’s a vaccine for them. Jordan was one of the first countries to vaccinate refugees, at the Zaatari refugee camp, seen here. I'm proud of Jordan, I have to say. All these people who fled war and now face a pandemic are going to have a second chance.
