Photo by renaeffendiphoto / While watching the current crisis unfold in Afghanistan, my mind goes back to this image of Hazara Afghan refugees waiting outside a feeding station at the makeshift refugee camp in Idomeni, Greece. I took this photograph in March 2016, when the border between Greece and the Republic of North Macedonia was overflowing with refugees from Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Over 10,000 people were camped out in the fields in tents, waiting for the borders to open and a chance to cross. #refugees #crisis #afghanistan #hazara
