Photo by @sarahyltonphoto / A hazy winter sunset began to form in Patna, in India's Bihar State, as a fisherman delicately weaved his wooden boat along the ghats of the Ganges River. I was on assignment for @natgeo and my main camera suddenly stopped releasing the shutter—granted it dates to the 1950s. I had decided to test my backup camera, a medium format I had barely used. As I fumbled with it, I was certain I had missed this scene and the rest that followed. But then that's the beauty (and stress) of film: the images that are meant to come to life always do.
