This development by the biorescue_project brings us one step closer to saving the species from extinction. Right now, only two northern white rhinos remain in the world, Najin and Fatu, which reside at OlPejeta Conservancy in northern Kenya. Much needed attention has been focused on the plight of wildlife and the impacts of humanity's greed, but there are many reasons for hope too: the work being done by the indigenous communities on the front lines, the work of conservationists and scientists like those at biorescue_project, and the generosity of donors who make all of this possible. Dedicated people are key to saving these magnificent animals and habitats; it's important to channel all our energy, awareness, and financial support toward those dedicating their lives to changing the course we are on.
