Video by joelsartore / Costa Rican lemur leaf frogs like these two amphibianfoundation are a critically endangered species. Native to Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia, populations are now almost entirely gone from Costa Rica and parts of western Panama. This massive decline is believed to be the result of habitat degradation and chytridiomycosis, a disease in amphibians caused by the chytrid fungus. You can help to protect frog species where you live by keeping your yard free of pesticides and fertilizers that run off into local waterways. Keeping these chemicals out of local water sources helps to protect habitats that frogs need to thrive. To see another video of this duo, follow me joelsartore. #frog #endangered #bigeyes #PhotoArk
