Video by joelsartore / The woylie is a small, kangaroo-like marsupial, sometimes referred to as a brush-tailed bettong because of the distinctive black brush at the end of its long tail. These marsupials are nocturnal, and spend much of their time foraging for underground fungi. While digging for their favorite food, they help water seep into the ground and move nutrients in the soil. They also disperse seeds and fungi spores through their droppings, making them an important player in maintaining the health of native vegetation. Video taken zooplzen.
