π¨ This sculpture illustrates the 3D distribution of CcmA
#proteins on the cell wall surfaces of 4
#Hpylori mutants. Black light shows the CcmA protein distribution on each cell. Each cell shape is taken from a real cell in the lab, along with its protein distribution.

π§βπ¬ The Bratton lab uses light microscopy and data analysis to study the organization of biological processes inside tiny bacteria. Bacteria pattern the growth of their rigid cell wall to build their characteristic shapes, shapes that help them thrive in all sorts of environments.
