Emotions, Body parts, and Medicine: Part 1 out of 4
According to Chinese medicine, every organ in our body is associated with an emotion. The liver happens to be the organ that is linked to anger and stress π
When we are angry or stressed, the liver cannot function properly. Why? Our liver processes emotions by depleting energy and impedes it's ability to function properly. There is a stagnant energy drain when these emotions are being suppressed. πͺ
It is best to express emotions instead of suppressing them, otherwise your liver could be at risk for Liver Stagnation. Common symptoms include:
- frustration, depression, or repressed anger
- dry or cracked nails
- bitter taste in mouth
- abdominal distension
