Yesterday was MLK Day and today is the National Day of Racial Healing. When we think of Dr. King, we often think primarily of his "I Have a Dream" speech but he was so much more than that. He also clearly articulated views on capitalism, racism, militarism, etc. that were extremely unpopular at the time of his death but are still issues we deal with today. He was a staunch advocate for structural change that created equity for all people.
AAC&U marks the sixth National Day of Racial Healing today. There are events occurring today and tools to review for including discussions on
#HowWeHeal.
