All smiles from the best seat in the house 🌎 NASAAstronauts Astro_Kayla smiles while peering out from inside the cupola, the International Space Station's (ISS) "window to the world." The ultimate observation deck has seven windows, six around the sides and one on top, that provide spectacular views of Earth and celestial objects. When not in use, the windows can be shuttered to protect them from micrometeoroids and the harsh space environment. Just under 10 feet in diameter, the module accommodates two crew members for the observation of operations outside the station such as robotic activities, the approach of vehicles and spacewalks.
