We got the drill-down on Mars! 😎⁣ ⁣ At the time this mosaic image was compiled, our Curiosity Mars rover had acquired 32 Martian rock samples using a drill attached to a robotic arm. Specimens could be used to search for signs of past life on the Red Planet by analyzing the chemical, mineral, physical and organic characteristics of the rocks.
