Can you see the shadows of "wings" near the top of this NASAHubble image? šŸ¦‡ā£ ⁣ Our Hubble Space Telescope saw a fledgling star’s unseen, planet-forming disk casting a huge shadow across a more distant cloud in a star-forming region. Astronomers nicknamed this feature the ā€œBat Shadow,ā€ because it resembles a pair of wings. The shadow moves as the disk - a circling structure of gas, dust, and rock - rotates around the young star, known as HBC 672.⁣ ⁣ Credit: NASA, ESA, and STScI⁣ ⁣ #NASA #Hubble #Shadows #Cosmos #HubbleFriday #OuterSpace
