As the NASAHubble telescope turned its eye on Jupiter’s Great Red Spot, an Earth-sized storm rolling counterclockwise between two bands of clouds, it noticed something unusual. Can you tell what it is? 🤔⁣ ⁣ The color palette in the clouds is more intense than usual. The colorful bands, which flow in opposite directions at various latitudes, result from different atmospheric pressures. Lighter bands rise higher and have thicker clouds than the darker bands.
