With just hours left until launch, the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and #CrewDragon spacecraft have been prepared for liftoff on a test mission to the International Space Station (ISS)! Liftoff is scheduled for 2:49 a.m. EST on Saturday, March 2nd from Launch Complex 39A at NASAKennedy’s Space Center in Florida. This launch will be the first uncrewed test flight of our Commercial Crew Program and the first time a commercially-built and operated American spacecraft designed for humans will dock to the space station. Data provided by the flight test will be used towards NASA certifying SpaceX’s crew transportation system for carrying astronauts to and from the space station. 👩‍🚀👨‍🚀 On this mission, the #CrewDragon spacecraft will also be carrying about 400 pounds of crew supplies and equipment to the orbiting lab and return some critical research samples to Earth.
