Youngest pulsar in the Milky Way! The brightly-colored remnant at the center of this image is Kes 75 - a star 🌟until it exploded in a supernova 💥 - 500 years ago, as seen from Earth. Astronomers used data from our Chandra X-ray Observatory (nasachandraxray) to confirm that it contains the youngest known pulsar in our Milky Way galaxy.
The Chandra observatory allows scientists from around the world to obtain X-ray images of exotic environments to help understand the structure and evolution of the universe.
