Our InSight lander is scheduled to launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base on California's Pacific coast aboard the two-stage rocket for a six-month journey to Mars. This mission, our first interplanetary launch from the west coast, will detect “marsquakes” and help us discover how rocky planets form.
