Are opinion polls necessary in any election? What role do they play in influencing voters? How accurate and reliable is the data collected? Why are media houses so obsessed about opinion polls? To answer these questions, three Humphrey Fellows at Cronkite School, Elita Karim from Bangladesh, Johnson Mayamba from Uganda and Milana Mazaeva from Russia, had a discussion with graduate students in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society, College of Global Futures at Arizona State University. The discussion was facilitated by Faheem Hussain, PhD, Clinical Associate Professor, who is also Chair, MS Global Technology & Development. The Fellows also talked about their work, the challenges, innovations, ideas, and aspirations.
