In a sea of chopped and modded cars at #Nissfest, Cam Fischer’s car stood out. It’s a 1990 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R, the iconic yet understated Godzilla itself, done up in a classic Calsonic blue livery. Fischer wanted to pay tribute to an era where the R32 dominated touring car racing and introduced millions of car fans to GT-R fandom through the Gran Turismo video game franchise. “I wanted to keep that nostalgia going,” Fischer said. He does that by being a dedicated member of GT-RMY, the group that encourages owners to meet up in person for drives and events, spreading their passion for all GT-R models as they go. It now counts over 200 members in 7 states and is one of the most recognizable groups in SoCal car culture.
