With climate change, a region known as "Norte Chico" of Chile (about 400 km north of the capital, Santiago), has been becoming deserts for more than a decade. And he is advancing towards Santiago. These areas were once rich in olive farming, but water was diverted to mining and large agricultural enterprises. Chile is a unique case in the world.
