The revolving tunnel, which served as the grand finale of the Studio Tour, was dismantled in December 2013 to accommodate the new Fast & Furious Supercharged attraction. Throughout its existence, the tunnel underwent several thematic transformations. Initially inaugurated in 1975, the tunnel’s first theme was The Glacier Avalanche, inspired by the Clint Eastwood film ‘The Eiger Sanction.’ In 1997, it received a makeover to resemble the Dante’s Peak Volcano mine shaft. The final theme introduced in May 2001 was The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb.
