#Regram #RG EarthJustice: VICTORY: Australian activists are celebrating a big win for the climate and the Great Barrier Reef this week as a court overturned the federal approval for Adani’s Carmichael Coal Mine. The Carmichael Mine would be Australia’s largest coal mine, producing up to 60 million tons of coal for export per year. It poses a major threat to the Great Barrier Reef, because it will require dredging of the seafloor within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area to expand coal export terminals on the coast, and the Reef sits right in the path of the coal barges.
