The requests have been pouring in and I hear its a great opportunity to “grow my reach”… but that’s not a motivator for me. I’ve got to protect my mental health. More than that, I dont trust mainstream media to allow us to really tell our story. I understand crisis sells, but I don’t want to engage if they won’t call me to also celebrate Haiti’s wins. I wont engage if they just want to guide the conversation into soundbites that will haunt Haiti, long after this crisis ends. With that being said, one of the only journalists I trust to tell our story is Vladimir Duthiers. Although it’s short, his summary today was excellent.
