It’s day 7 of #NationalSuicidePreventionWeek and we wanted you to know some statistics about suicide. β€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ–€πŸ€πŸ€Ž Although statistics can vary depending on the size of the survey and time of data collection, statistics provide insights to issues within populations and communities. Statistics allow us to identify populations at greater risk of suicide, helping us better understand what we can do in our prevention work. Youth, LGBTQ youth and adults, especially from highly rejecting families, are all at greater risk of suicide. If you or someone you know is at risk, the LGBT Lifeline is available at 1-888-843-4564, The Trevor Project is available for LGTBQ+ youth in crisis at 1-866-488-7386 or by texting Trevor to 1-202-304-1200, and the Trans Lifeline is available at 1-877-565-8860. #WeAreHere We are #ResilientToday #YouMatter #YouBelongHere #NationalSuicidePreventionMonth
