INSTRUCTOR HIGHLIGHT: Florence Dore is a Nashville-born, North Carolina-based independent singer/songwriter and academic, whose latest album, Highways and Rocketships, was released by Propellor Recordings in 2022. She is a professor in UNC-Chapel Hill’s department of English, where she teaches courses in songwriting, creative writing, and fiction. She is also the editor of the recently released Ink in the Grooves, which includes her interviews with various singer/songwriters, including Lucinda Williams and Steve Earle.
