We’re thrilled to announce another one of our amazing judges: John Keane! John Keane is a veteran producer, engineer, and musician who has been involved in the creation of many gold and multi-platinum records. He is best known for his work with R.E.M, Widespread Panic, The Indigo Girls, and Cowboy Junkies. He started John Keane Studios in Athens, Georgia in 1981. John has participated in many music conference panels as an expert on subjects such as record production, home recording, and Pro Tools. These include South by Southwest in Austin, The Tape Op conference in Portland OR, Athfest in Athens, GA, and the Cutting Edge in New Orleans. He has taught a Pro Tools course for the University of Georgia’s Music Business Program, and at UNG in Gainesville GA. He is the author of the popular Pro Tools book, The Musician’s Guide to Pro Tools (McGraw-Hill). We are so appreciative of John and can’t wait for April 28th.
