Colorado is just packed full of different landscapes and Southern Colorado is home to some of my favorites! We’ve been getting so much precipitation lately, turning a usually tan and brown valley into a lush grassland. I wonder what happened to Luicita, my sweet Luicita, what was she up to? The Dolores Mission and Cemetery was built between 1871 and 1889 by Mexican pioneers settling the valley. The headstones are still in great condition despite the time and exposure.
