Nearly 500 followers and a day doesn’t go by that I cannot believe this dream is a reality! Growing up, riding to volleyball tournaments, trainings, and practices, my parents always gave a pep talk. My mother always said, “Play where your feet are.” After years of this message going in one ear and out the other without any real meaning getting through, the significance of these words finally resonated with me when my playing career was brought to an abrupt halt with concussion #3. I found it was relatively easy to play where your feet are when you’re a starter and captain. It’s much more difficult to do when you aren’t playing at all. In any situation, any circumstance, you must deliberately commit to motivating and supporting others, to making a difference from the position you are in—even while wishing you were someplace else.
