“one last dance” The abcnoriopunkhc collective has held #allages #DIY #punk #hardcore shows at 156 Rivington St in the #LES for over 20 years. Saturday, 6/25/16 marked the last of these staple #saturdaymatinee shows to be held in the current building. Starting off as a squat in the early 1980’s and through much hard work and dedication, abcnorio has not only managed over the years to buy their dilapidated tenement building from the city, but to begin the long awaited “renovation”. In reality, the renovation is more like a complete demolition. From the ashes of the current building will rise a new, state of the art, LEED certified building, owned and operated by the volunteers of the many collectives that make up #abcnorio.
