I had the honor and privilege of documenting DCFD and the District of Columbia paying their final respects to a true hero on Friday. Lt McRea was the 100th line of duty death in DCFD's history. The sense of tradition, pride, and brotherhood on display both by members of DCFD and all surrounding jurisdictions that helped out in any and every way imaginable was truly awe inspiring.
