Black history lives today! Dr. Shirley Jackson is credited with helping to develop the technology that enabled caller ID and call waiting. She is also the first Black woman to graduate with a Ph.D. from MIT. Dr. Jackson received the National Medal of Science in 2015 was inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame.
