When you’re working from home how often do you take a break from your desk? Once I start I find it hard to stop. That by pausing I might lose my momentum or my train of thought. I’ve attended a few workshops on time management and read all about various techniques but at the end of day it all comes down to discipline with me. So yesterday I found myself at a natural stop having done my metrics, reports and scheduling so I actually closed the Mac and went to the beach with the family. Just half an hour trying out the new pooch at the beach was enough to completely refresh me. And I was happy to get back to work when we got home. I’m going to be kinder to myself (and my back and neck) and definitely take my breaks from now on.
