How do you know if you're hitting your targets?
Once you've set your social media goals you need a way of measuring your success.
That's where KPI's come in. And what, I hear you say, is a KPI? Well, I'm glad you asked.
It stands for Key Performance Indicator and is a specific metric you will use to measure performance.
So let's say your goal is to achieve brand awareness. You're a newish company and you want to let your target audience know you're here. Your KPI's will be the number of followers, the reach your post and account achieve, and the number of impressions. You would want to see a growth in these areas to know that your business is gaining attention. Or, alternatively, you can set a more specific number that you want to reach.
If your goal is engagement then likes, comments, shares, saves are all KPI's to go with. Check out your INSIGHTS tab from your profile page to find out how your posts are performing.
